Suraya Susana Keating: Transformation through Imagination
Thank you for visiting my personal website! I am an actress, director, drama and movement teacher as well as a Registered Drama Therapist who believes in the power of the arts to heal, transform and create bridges on both an individual and societal level. My work is multi-faceted, and whether directing a Shakespeare show with prisoners, conducting creative movement classes with pre-schoolers, or rehearsing a new play about spirituality and relationships, I seek to bring out and celebrate the creative process in each of us.
“Some people see things as they are and ask why. Others dream things that never were and ask why not.”
- George Bernard Shaw
I also delight in offering trainings for teachers and therapists on how to interweave the expressive arts, drama therapy, yoga and movement into their work. In the fall of 2012, I am excited to offer another action-packed workshop on Yoga and Creativity, in which we will explore the ways in which tools from yoga and the expressive arts can be used to support your creative process in any of its four phases. CEU credits are optional for MFT’s and LCSW’s. See the Trainings page for a complete description of this and other upcoming workshops.
